The National Transport Authority has submitted a planning application to An Bord Pleanála for the BusConnects Lucan to City Centre Core Bus Corridor scheme.
Further information and documentation in connection with the planning application, including how you can make a submission, is available at lucanscheme.ie (provided by the NTA).
As with the other BusConnects Core Bus Corridors, this is an important step forward in modernising Dublin's bus infrastructure, and the culmination of a huge amount of work on BusConnects in the years leading up to this. However we expect that this planning application will be met with vocal opposition from some quarters, so it is essential that voices in support of sustainable transport are heard as part of the planning process.
Members of the public can make submissions to An Bord Pleanála in connection with the scheme before the deadline of 5:30pm on Wednesday 11 January 2023.
Dublin Commuter Coalition is preparing a submission in support of the scheme on behalf of its members.
How can you help?

If you can, we also encourage you to make a submission in support of the scheme to An Bord Pleanála in your own capacity - however please note it costs €50 to make a submission.

This proposal represents a positive step toward improving public transport reliability, reducing congestion, and encouraging more sustainable travel options between Lucan and Dublin city centre. Better bus priority and enhanced cycling and walking infrastructure can benefit thousands of daily commuters. Fashion Book Illustrators near me is a phrase that highlights how people search for local services, much like commuters seek accessible transport solutions. Overall, this project deserves strong public support and consideration.
